Saliu Oladunni was arrested on Thursday after he burgled a shop at Wole Ajeboriogbon street , Sabo Ikorodu and was caught with 27 phones. The Shop he burgled belongs to Mrs. Wasiu Omolabake.Oladunni was brought before a magistrate's court in Ikorodu on Thursday.
According to the investigation that was carried out , it was said that he was not part to the thieves that stole the phones, but he helped the thieves to hand over them to phone sellers.
He said he was trying to repair is phone at a man named mallam when the thieves pleaded with him to take the phones to the same mallam. The mallam was working with the police which he didn't know.
Corporal Mary Ajiteru ( The Prosecutor) told that court on August 31 2015, Oladunni and the thieves stole 44 different phones and accessories worth N180,000.
Oladuni pleaded guilty to three- count charges of conspirarcy and stealing punishable under sections 409 and 285 of the criminal laws of Lagos state which was read to him in yoruba but denied the second charge of burglary.
The magistrate ,Mr. O. O. Olatunji , ordered that accused remain in prison and adjourned that case till October 22.
